Vision is the ability of a
leader to see the future of the life project, where it is headed, and how far
this project can go, to achieve the success of the project and achieve the
goals proposed for the project of a leading organization.
Examples are taken from
the UNAD website:
An example of this is the vision that UNAD has
of its educational model "The Vision of UNAD is projected as a leading
organization in Open and Distance Education, recognized at the local, regional,
national and international levels for the innovative quality and relevance of
its educational offers and services, for the commitment and contribution of its
academic community to sustainable human development, of local and global
communities with efficiency and social quality.
Mission
It
is the ideal that the leader has to achieve his dream of being shared with a
community, the mission takes into account important elements such as contexts,
globalization, cultural diversity, social projection among others with the aim
of contributing to the development and advancement of a country or country. organization.
An example is taken from UNAD
Its mission is to “contribute to education for all, through
the
open and remote modality, through research, pedagogical action, social
projection, and pedagogical and didactic innovations, with the use of Information
and Communication Technologies, to promote and accompany the autonomous
learning, generator of culture and entrepreneurial spirit that, within the framework
of global society and knowledge, fosters sustainable human and social
development of local, regional and global communities with quality, efficiency
and social equity ”1
Strategy:
It
is the teaching method to transmit knowledge with the support of a pedagogical
and didactic model for the management of learning that helps the student in the
development of their skills, and areas of the development of a project.
An example of this is those used by the UNAD, which is the tutorial accompaniment
that allows students to clarify their doubts and receive advice.

Choose one educational institution and analyze its vision and mission and
according to this, try to establish the strategy it has for management. Support
your ideas based on the documents you read from unit 1 content.
UNAD”
Proyecto Educativo Institucional PEI”
Analyze´s
vision and misión
The
UNAD's vision is to lead open and virtual distance education, this educational the model has as one of its advantages the use of technologies in education with which
it makes an important contribution to human development, but has as a
disadvantage the little coverage or the lack of internet coverage due to the
fact that providers do not have network coverage in towns far from large
cities.
The
UNAD's mission
The
UNAD educational project's mission is to contribute to education for all
through the use of technology; It is a model of education of great importance
because today the world is globalized, it has the advantage that it is an innovative, efficient model with an entrepreneurial spirit and generator of
culture, this model is articulated with the characteristics of the cultural
models that are supported by relying on values and norms of the people in the
institution and organizations; His leadership is moral, leaders ’responsibility
is to generate culture, and to communicate values.
Try
to establish the strategy you have for managing:
The
management strategy by forming participation committees, and using leaders to
manage issues that solve problems such as the implementation of communication
networks in remote places in large cities with the participation of government
bodies.
Alexander Salazar´s Concepts
Vision:
The leadership must have the importance that the fulfillment of the objectives
are met effectively, the client in his educational environment must reflect
from his nature, the school context, and his needs at the given moment, having a
functional organization the change of a visionary approach, the student and the teacher must maintain order and discipline from the classrooms where each a resource that allows learning takes its place, outlining clear objectives and
policies that each system is in place to ensure its implementation
Mission:
The educational institution must stand out in leadership and educational
management, being guarantors in the formation of leaders who must have a centralized
focus on the objectives of education. Leadership and management must be
concerned with being the dominant term as maintenance activity and aiming at
creating goals, motivations, and actions. The educational system should have
more favorable results such as the awareness of alternative approaches that
provide the tools in which leaders can choose when they face problems and deal
with day-to-day life (Bush and Glover 2002: Bush 2003).
Strategy
what
is intended and sought is everyday leaders in educational environments provide
better alternatives that provide and guarantee efficiency in the development of
activities, that they always have better opportunities, and that they manage
each resource at their fingertips. Therefore, leaders must always be subject to
any condition and change, which allows them to be optimal in the pursuit of
knowledge and to know better educational links.
The vision of UNAD
The
National Open and Distance University (UNAD) is projected as a leading
organization in open and distance education and virtual learning environments,
recognized nationally and internationally for the innovative quality, the
relevance of its educational offers and services, and for the commitment of its
academic community with integral human development and the eco-sustainable
management of local, regional and global communities, and for its contribution
to this purpose.
Analysis
What
the University wants is every day to provide better study offers to those
people who have not had the necessary resources, nor have access to higher
education, which allows them to be guarantors of this great benefit. Thus, it
seeks that people are leaders, guarantors, regardless of their condition, at
any time and anywhere.
Angelica Charari´s Concepts
Vision:
It
refers to a future state of the organization, to the purposes to which it is
wanted through constant work, expressed in terms of values and clarifying the direction it must take. The vision allows visualizing the institution in the
long term, showing the growth that it is going to have and the continuous
improvement that is desired. For example, in the vision of the University of
Cundinamarca says: “The University of Cundinamarca will be recognized by
society, at the local, regional, national, and international levels, as a
generator of relevant and pertinent knowledge focused on the care of life,
nature, the environment, humanity, and coexistence. " It is affirming that
the quality of education will continue to improve to the point of becoming
known internationally for its good results and favoring the environment.
Mission:
Is
the reason for being and the purpose of an institution, it is used to publicize
the general objectives and the philosophy of it. It shows in a more specific the way the raison d'être of the Institution and the educational values it
possesses. The mission is the path that the institution will travel to make its vision come true. For example, the mission of the BIMBO group is "to feed,
delight and serve our world"
Strategy:
It refers to the management, it is a procedure used to make decisions and to act in front of a certain scenario and achieve the objectives proposed in the vision and mission of the educational institution.
Mission
analysis and vision of SENA
Mission
SENA
is in charge of fulfilling the function that corresponds to the State of
investing in the social and technical development of Colombian workers,
offering and executing comprehensive professional training, for the
incorporation and development of people in productive activities that
contribute to development. social, economic, and technological of the country
(Law 119/1994).
Vision
In
2022 SENA will consolidate itself as a benchmark entity for comprehensive
training for work, due to its contribution to employability, entrepreneurship
and equity, which serves the productive and social needs of the country with
relevance and quality.
Analyzes:
In the mission and vision, the reason for being of SENA is clear, which is to provide comprehensive professional training to students so that they can expand their possibilities of work and be competent in the workplace. In accordance with the vision and mission, I think that the main strategy is flexibility in the offer of programs and schedules since, in most cases, students can work and study at the same time.

Carolina Banavides´s Concepts
Vision:
The vision is an expression of what an organization wants to achieve. To create
a vision it is necessary to identify the main influences, needs in terms of
economics, politics, etc. Broadly speaking, the vision comes from a leader and
it must be practical and feasible.
The
vision also answers questions such as: Where do we want to go? What values do
we have? Where are you going? to realize it in the future in the long term and
its main function is to inspire and generate "motivation".
Example:
Juan
Valdez Coffee. "To be the preferred premium Colombian coffee brand globally
for its quality and generation of wellbeing to its environment." This does
not exactly reflect the questions I mentioned above and clearly shows the objective that the company seeks to fulfill in the long term, almost
indefinitely.
Mission:
The mission is a search towards a sense where the organization is committed, it
is in part the way in which we see expressed the objective of where we are
going, it allows to provide an orientation and it is the basis of effective
leadership. The mission must be clear and maintain sincerity about what it is
desired to accomplish or obtain. This is the reason or purpose that answers
questions such as: ¿Who are we? What do we do? What makes us different? And it
must be carried out in a short term in the future, fulfilling the main function
of highlighting or making the identity known.
Example:
Colegio Pinares “We educate women through an Integral and Personalized
approach, based on Catholic Christian values, in collaboration with parents. We
are committed to the academic excellence of international standards and human
formation, to serve society, based on the philosophy of the Work Well Done.”
This institution clearly answers the questions posed above and makes us a
specification of each place, space or people where they want to reach with
their school.
Strategy:
Strategy is the procedure that allows decision-making in a given situation or
scenario, seeking to achieve previously defined objectives. Likewise, the
strategy is a plan to reach a goal. We know several types of strategy but they
all focus on the response to the search for a "path" to reach an
objective.
A simple strategy can be the realization of the Blog in this activity. If a student does it and shares the forum, which page is going to be used, how is
going to attach the information of all the students in order to obtain the blog
with all the information and thus fulfill the objective of delivering it to the
tutor.
Another
example at the company level is the creation of alliances between two or more
companies to achieve a common benefit such as finding more customers by making
more promotions, marketing advertising, etc.

this, try to establish the strategy it has for management. Support your ideas

Mission
Colegio de mis practicas I.E.M.C
It
trains technical high school graduates in business management. Having
communication as the axis in the development of scientific, humanistic and
technological skills, encouraging creativity in students, the ability to think
and act for themselves, as a life project that allows transforming their environment within a competitive society.
Vission
In
the year 2021, the institution will stand out as a leader in the formation of
human beings who are committed to improving the quality of life of individuals,
families and the community. It will also be an example of economic
self-sustainability through entrepreneurial projects.
The
institution's strategy is based on creating spaces within the student schedule
to reinforce knowledge focused on the creation of companies, creating more
spaces to be able to enter more students into the business environment. It also
creates alliances with various entities so that the micro-enterprises created
by its students can be a livelihood for each one and train students by showing
them that they can create companies as a life project, thus fulfilling part of
the vision and generating a fundamental mission.
